… But to be honest, quarentine has been really easy for me. I’m most likely going to pass my classes, and I’m saving money on all those McDonald’s iced coffees I’m not buying because I haven’t left my house in like 6 weeks.
I’m also, through some crazy good fortune, paying down my debt like crazy. I had leftover financial aid money that went towards paying off all my micro loans. That was about $800.
Then I got the COVID stimulus check, and applied it plus $288 towards paying off an old high-interest credit card in full. So there was $2300 in debt paid off.
And later this week, I’m getting $700 from my school via a CARES grant, which will pay off one half of my bank loan and the other half I can pay off in August. When that’s done, that’s $3000 paid off.
I’m really fortunate to be in a position where I can use the money to better my situation long-term and not need it for immediate bills or living expenses. And of course I’m really, really hoping that the Tangerine Shitgibbon decides to grant us all further aid, because I have about another $4600 in debt I would love to pay off. If I didn’t have any debt to make payments on every month, my living expenses would be about $650 including bills, rent, groceries, and gasoline. I could actually go to the dentist.
So yeah. I’m hoping Trump does the right thing and helps people a little more. And I hope I can knock out the rest of my debt in about year or so. In the meantime though, I’ll be passing the time studying and doing homework and watching too much TV.
