Oh sweet Cthulhu don’t let this be me!
I fell asleep super early tonight (and without the help of meds) and had a crazy dream that I was the second coming of Christ. Everyone found out because I guess I wrote a song or poem or who fucking knows what that told everyone just who I was.
And this church full of crazies wanted to get hold of me and crucify me. I obviously wanted none of this, so I escaped. Multiple times. In weirder and weirder ways. I stabbed someone to death with my brand new Gingher sewing shears (Omg I would never! Those blades are sacred!) and at one point a church defector who could fucking fly helped me get away.
Then an older guy gave me the mini tool kit and his souped up, all terrain, amphibious lawn mower and I jumped on, hauling ass across the county. Did I mention this thing could also fly?
I had just stolen a set of earrings (a girl has to look her best when running for her life!) from a fish farm when I peed myself in my dream because there’s no time for potty breaks.
Believe you me I woke up fast afraid I had actually peed the bed. Whew! Nope! But I got up and peed and took my meds anyway.
So I loved my first EarFleek delivery so much I signed up for a second subscription with them. I was already enjoying Minimalist but Groovy, and then I signed up for Young at Heart too. Check out what I got this time! So cute!
I had therapy yesterday, which was tough, but it brought some facts to light I had never really considered before. I love therapy because even if it brings up painful things sometimes, it helps me look at myself and my actions objectively and since I’m really into facts over feelings, it honestly makes me feel better about myself, and I love that. ❤️💛💚💙💜
Today I woke up and I was freezing. It’s not Halloween yet. It shouldn’t be this cold, I thought. And the temp wasn’t that cold – mid-50’s, but there is a cold, hard blowing wind. And my window is open. And the fan was on. I turned the fan off but I’m not quite ready to close the window yet. I’ll live with being chilly a little longer.
I cleaned up after the puppies, let them out to play, and made myself something to eat. I had a nice snuggle with Yuba, who was happy to hog all my blankets and not share them. Then I got a black felt tip pen, a new 18g needle, and went into my bathroom.
Ten minutes later, I had a 3rd hole in each earlobe, though I had to do the left side twice because the first one was too low. There was a lot of blood – it was running down my face and neck – but it stopped pretty quickly. Still, its really hard to hold onto a fiddly earring back and try to push it into place when your fingers and earlobe are slippery with a ridiculous amount of blood from such a tiny pair of holes.
I have a few new pieces of body jewelry coming in the next few days, and one of them is a super cute nose screw, so that’s what I be piercing next. I’m going to order a pair of bucket forceps and try to do my traguses myself too.
I’ve still got quite a few piercings on my wishlist- both tragus, nose, and outer labia for sure, and maybe navel, and another helix. I’ve also decided to just invest in forceps and piercing needles in the appropriate sizes and do most of them myself. I want to do them this way because 1) save money, 2) it’ll be an interesting experience. And with the right tools, I feel like I stand a good chance of actually doing them right. Worst case, I just let them close back up again if they’re not quite right. But anyway, that’s for next month.
I also made a small order for some new jewelry as I had a coupon I couldn’t not use- $5 off and some of the items I wanted were on sale so I basically only paid shipping. I’ve got a few items from Ali Express on their way as well as (hopefully soon!) my Sanchezmas box. I’m super excited for that one!
I started watching Underground a few days ago- something Chris wanted me to watch, and now I’m torn when I watch a few episodes between just enjoying the show, and desperately wanting to talk to him about it. It hurts my heart something fierce and I hate feeling that way. My friend is still gone, and there’s still an empty place in my heart.
First, let me say I had reservations about this subscription before deciding to sign up. For less than $4 a month, they send you a pair of nickel-free earrings based on a style profile of your choosing. Obviously I’m skeptical because super cheap and cute earrings that my super sensitive speshul snoflake ears can actually wear? It honestly seems too good to be true but I finally decided to give it a try. I’d know within a few hours of wearing them if they were indeed nickel-free and the buy-in is so low, why not?
Anyway, today this came in the mail.
A pretty unassuming envelope with no secret who its from. Okay, let’s open it up.
There’s a card announcing that I just received stylish, new earrings, a temporary tattoo (which I applied to my thigh a few minutes later), and the little ziplock baggie with the actual earrings.
The earrings are pretty cute, albeit super simple. I posted the photos to Instagram and said they looked like little Superman shields, but my friend Liz pointed out they’re actually diamonds. Yes, I got rose-gold colored, diamond earrings for under $4. Score? Score!
I’m pretty happy with this pair, so I’ll continue the subscription for a while.
I made a nice sale in my shop, so I was able to put some towards the big things, and I bought a few things I needed as well.
Unfortunately, one item will have to be returned because it won’t work out for me.That was a toilet paper roll storage holder that clips onto the side of your toilet tank. Too bad the ceramic of my tank is too thick, and its shaped all wrong to actually use. If my toilet tank was more square, it would be worth bending the hooks and making it work.It works hanging off of one of the wire racks over my toilet though, so it’s a keeper.
I also realized that spice racks as nail polish shelves are genius! Obviously I need more nail polish, right?
I also ordered a container to store the puppy food in because the stupid mice are eating their way through the bag, helping themselves to as much as they’d like. Right now the puppy food is in one of my plastic file boxes I pulled out of the craft room because the mice wasted no time chewing into the new bag. I hate mice.
I also went back to the piercer to discuss this piercing with her. She doesn’t have the right jewelry in stock to do it so hopefully the right piece will come in next week and we can go ahead. I ended up leaving with an industrial piercing on my left ear, and a helix on my right. Of course I obviously didn’t think it all through because I sleep on my left side mostly, and now I can’t because its so sore, and even more not thought out was getting cartilage piercings on both ears at the same time.
The night before I went to the piercer though, I popped by Psycho City Tattoo and got my WORTHY tattoo done, as well as the star in my chest piece recolored. Bob Ackermann did a great job on both and I couldn’t be happier. 🙂
A week or so ago, I got my earlobes pierced with a second hole. No big deal, right? Well, because I didn’t know any better, I let her use these little disposable cartridge things, basically a replacement for the piercing gun. They were fine for about two days, and then they swelled up a lot and hurt like hell. No heat so no infection but I ended up popping off the way too tight earring backs and replacing them with smaller, soft plastic backs (put on looser) to allow more space for the swelling.
Almost immediately, the swelling started going down and 2 days later, only the right one is a little swollen still. They’re almost back to being pain free again.
I’ve been super happy with my other piercings from this piercer though so I will go back to her, but I’ll be sure to request she does not use the cartridge on any future piercings. I didn’t know any better, and I’m calling this a lesson learned.
I’ve been doing some research and have decided that some time next year I would like to visit one of my closest friends who lives in Washington. Of course that costs money and I won’t be able to save enough to get there on my own until July. To help raise the money to visit my pretty lady, I’m offering 18% off of everything in my shop, including sale items. Everything. Just click on through to http://kittyloafdesigns.com and use coupon code CATOWASH at checkout. Easy peasy!
I’m also doing the logical thing and begging for Christmas money instead of gifts to hopefully get the money together faster because I really don’t want to have to wait until July! Below are just a few of my makes you can buy in my shop.
