The Spring semester is winding down and I’m glad. Assuming I don’t totally bomb my last couple exams, I’m going to squeak by with C’s across the board and I’m going to be grateful for them.
I took the chapter 9 written and oral exam for Spanish class this weekend, as well as knocked out the discussion topic and got my final project turned in.
Next week I need to do some homework for A&P II and get ready for my Spanish final. We have an exam in A&P and I have math homework and a quiz due on Wednesday.
I’m telling myself it’s almost over and then I’ll have the summer off. Just a few more days.
We’re about halfway through the Spring semester and I’m ready for it to end. I have a math quiz to take tomorrow, then a math exam, a Spanish midterm on Friday and also an A&P II exam. And i have a Spanish assignment due this week plus a project I need to work on. It’s just so much and i honestly don’t even know if my grades are going to pull up enough to actually pass my classes this semester. It’s so frustrating.
In happier news, I’ve gained two penpals, which is a completely new thing for me. I’ve never really written letters but with being stuck at home, I need a little more distraction then the usual hobbies and crafts. We’ll see how that goes… Lol. So far I’ve written each of them a letter, and I’ve been looking up cute stationary, but not finding any I love yet. I did order stamps though with cute frogs on them. 😍
Tomorrow I need to do some Spanish make-ups and study for my midterm, plus clean up the kitchen a bit, take trash out, and put some stuff away in my craft room. I might also try to cut a few cards with the Silhouette from cardstock.
I’m feeling so overwhelmed right now, between school, and trying to keep up a normal idea of life with this damn virus going around. We had a week off from classes, and suddenly I’m behind. My grades are in the gutter right now. I’m struggling.
Tonight I had 6 sections of math due and two quizzes. I managed to get 4+ sections and one quiz done, so I’ll be finishing the rest tomorrow afternoon…. Which is when the electrician is supposed to come to I might now have electricity/internet for a few hours. Grrr.
I also have about an hour of Spanish homework to finish tomorrow and get through at least 3 assignments for A&P II and my brain is just going “say fuck it. Don’t even bother,” because it’s so much work.
I know if I take my time and actually do things in the chunks that align with the due dates and a little more, I’ll be caught up before spring break, which is next week.
But ugh. Right now I just feel like giving up.
I can’t even say a little retail therapy is helping, because it’s not, but I am getting some cleaning and organizing done, and by the time this quarentine is lifted, my car is going to be filled with donations for thrift.
Hola!
Yo no come carne!

Los peces de colores son muy bonito y simpático. Ellos son muy popular en muchos países. Muchas personas disfruten ellos.
Man, today was a stupidly long day and the last half of it sucked!
I started off with waking up early and doing a little cleaning around the house and in my car. I’m really glad I mostly cleaned out my car, for reasons they will become clear by the end of this.
Around noon, FedEx dropped off a box.
This box contained a new fishy friend, who I have decided to call Ziggy. This is the best photo I’ve been able to get of him so far. He’s extremely active and very hard to photograph.
He was pissed about being in the shipping bag and was thrashing about, stressing himself out pretty bad so he went into the quarentine tank pretty quickly.
I had a follow-up appointment with the gastroenterologist at 3pm, who told me my esophageal lining was precancerous, so we’d want to keep an eye on it, and keep my acid under control, but I should be fine. He said my colon and polyp were unremarkable.
After that I went by the post office and mailed a couple packages out, and headed over to PetSmart to grab some more of the goldfish pellets my fish like so much. So far this is a pretty good day, right?
But then I got in my car and got ready to leave to head home. I put the key in there ignition, started the car, moved my foot to the brake as I put the car in reverse, and the pedal sink to the floor with no resistance.
Great. No brakes. 3 hours later I got home, leaving my car at PetSmart, and tomorrow morning I am missing yet another week of Spanish class so I can get my car into the shop.
Monday I have exams I cannot miss and if my car isn’t ready by then, mom will have to take the day off work to drive me to class.
Yesterday my math instructor emailed me to remind me that done assignments in which I needed to score at least 80% on were due by midnight tonight. I couldn’t remember seeing anything about a due date this weekend, and of course I panicked.
But the good thing is I fixed most of my wrong answers on the review, plus got the first homework assignment completed of 3 that are due next weekend.
I have Spanish homework to finish this afternoon, and then I’m planning on knocking out the next math assignment. Tomorrow I’ll work on the A&P II homework.
